[Verse 1] I found a jar in the shed With a paper note that read "Don’t open up" in red So of course I did Little gold sparks hit my wrist Like a thousand tiny fists They spelled my name and hissed Then they made a wish [Pre-Chorus] Now they hum in my coat They follow where I go I swear they know my thoughts Before I do [Chorus] Pocket of bees Pocket of bees Buzzing for me Buzzing for me Pocket of bees Pocket of bees Follow my feet Follow my feet [Verse 2] I took them down to the creek They circled the willow leaves Then landed on my sleeve Like they picked me Every morning by the door They line up ten by four I don’t ask what they’re for I just let them swarm [Pre-Chorus] Now they hum in my coat They follow where I go I swear they know my thoughts Before I do [Chorus] Pocket of bees Pocket of bees Buzzing for me Buzzing for me Pocket of bees Pocket of bees Follow my feet Follow my feet [Bridge] If I get lost tonight They’ll light my way Small gold storm in the dark Calling my name [Final Chorus] Pocket of bees Pocket of bees Buzzing for me Buzzing for me Pocket of bees Pocket of bees I’m never alone Never alone
