No reason to be angry or mad It wasn’t so long ago, that laughter came readily and eased me through the day I knew all wasn’t right with the world, But, then It never is, and we were trying; we got along, we could talk Even when we disagreed, and For me, laughter was the answer to the idiocy Laughter was a cure The world isn't so bad when you can laugh [instrumental bridge] But, now the world seems to be spinning out of control What’s happening is no joke. There is nothing to laugh about. Our leaders lie to us. Lawmakers get nothing done, the courts try, but it seems like one step forward, and two steps back We’ve brought this chaos on ourselves, It is our fault, except now, No one knows what can be done. I’d laugh if it wasn’t so tragic If things don’t change, I may never laugh again. All I'm left with is crying All I'm left with is tears and fears I may never laugh again.
