Lyran Design spacecraft - Part 3
[Tags: audiobook, background music, narration, storytelling, film-like sequence] [spoken word: narration, male voice, monotone, technical manual] [spoken word] There are no visible controls which tie the system to the operator, however, some form of band is worn on the head of the operator; My assumption was, that it was wirelessly controlled and some form of implanted transmitter was in the headgear, which picked up on visual or audible cues, however, I am told with some glee that the operator of the craft is consciously tuned to the engine itself in such a way, so that the very intention of movement in a particular direction, will thus cause the ship to travel (that is to say, they think of which direction they want to go, and it does so). [Narration: Dialogues with tonal variation] I was a bit concerned over this, seeing as they are mind-controlling this craft and wondering what would happen if they were distracted, thus severing whatever control link from the ship's engine? I was then assured, it is no more difficult for the operator to do this, than it would be for a human of average capacity to drive or pilot a vehicle, whilst carrying on a normal conversation at the sane time. [Narration: Dialogues with tonal variation] Wondering if I could try to pilot the craft by placing said headgear on my head and think where to go, the Lyran said it takes some practice and concentration to do so, and I would need to be tuned to the ship, as well perfect some basic thought-control before attempting to control a larger craft with occupants' lives at stake. [Narration: Dialogues with tonal variation] Fair enough, I thought, though having the distinct idea that the ship itself has some form of intelligence and that, not only would I need to be well-versed in thought-control technique, but the ship and I must find some form of mental/emotional compatibility, or synchronicity as well (or, in simpler terms, we would need to like each other and be friends for it to work!) [Narration: Dialogues with tonal variation] I've heard similar tales regarding some of the Pleaidian crafts, that they were somewhat living and thinking machines, though I am not completely aware if they are merely advanced AI programs, or if they do somehow possess some form of soul or conscious near to that of humans; I would be more inclined to suspect the later.
