Dreamcatchers of the deep caught us. Eight shadows. One breath. We hit the red stone—but no one reached for iron. One of us already knew. One was already listening. One never missed... and one simply smiled, like this was overdue. A cathedral of stone rose around us... Shadows of beasts older than language… not carved… remembered. On the walls—ancient paintings telling our story. Hunters. Beasts. Machines. A fracture through time. A wolf on the totem. Above it—impossible—the skull of an elephant humming with distant stars. Not strangers. Not visitors. Returnees. (Hey-a-hey… Ho-ya-ne…) The fire spoke first. The Medicine Man stepped forward, offering the bitter soul of the earth... The Cactus Soup. It tasted like cucumber, but sharp and spiny. The smoke didn’t rise—it sank into us. The Wolf stopped breathing. Red lowered his aim. Even steel… went quiet. We shed our revolvers like old skin. Down here, only one law remained: Blood. Breath. Rhythm. Sashay moves first… not thinking—just knowing… like he felt it before the fall. The Wolf tilts his head… not at us… but at something underneath the sound. Texas Red doesn’t speak. He watches the dark… like it might move if he blinks wrong. Steel shifts—the Barrel Monster breathes through his grip… blade ready for something without flesh. A note cuts through the cave—the Siren doesn’t sing… she listens first. Far above us—stillness—the Sniper already found the angle before the map even formed. Then—a tremor. Not fear. The Kid smiles: “Now it talks.” And the Elephant—he was never lost. He steps once—and the cave answers. Eight instincts. One pulse. The Wobble… didn’t remember us. It never forgot. It’s not a sound… it’s a weight. It is the pulse beneath the skin. Eight souls… one pattern… We thought we found the Wobble— …but it already found us. WOBBLE!!! POW WOW! POW WOW! POW WOW! WOBBLE!!! The sand is singing! WOBBLE! It calls us forward! WOBBLE! The surface is no longer listening. The dust ends here. The sea is waking up… and the Wobble is not done with us yet. (Hey-a-hey… Ho-ya-ne…) …WOBBLE... [Wobbly Music Off]
