[Verse] I saw you creeping down the street With a bundle of balloons tied to your feet Your shadow danced A secret thief Stealing colors What a brief relief [Chorus] The balloon thief You float away Pockets full of skies turned gray You take the red You take the blue But I’m still chasing after you [Verse 2] You climbed the lamp post like a spy Snatching stars right from the sky With helium whispers in the night You vanish quick Out of sight [Prechorus] Do you hear me calling? Do you see me falling? [Chorus] The balloon thief You float away Pockets full of skies turned gray You take the red You take the blue But I’m still chasing after you [Bridge] Who taught you how to fly so high? Who taught you how to steal the sky? I’d give you all my colors True If you’d let me float away with you
