The Wit is Bold - El ingenio es audaz (Cover)

The wit is bold: it either brings us laughter, or it brings us tears. When a new genius and their work reach us, a story already told is unveiled in their voice. The echo of old marvels is heard in the background, which only a few illustrious ones know how to make us recall. We chase worlds without borders, with dreams that are accurate compasses. History whispers without restraints: "Every idea has old roots, a cycle that always endures." The notes of the great authors become songs that the soul hears: an endless array of beautiful ideas and infinite emotions. "You're on the right track," the blind man told the fortune-teller. Ha! When the world tells you your idea is too strange, don't give up, brother, don't stop creating it. And with your bold and creative wit, navigating the abyss of being ignored, so that the world can sing or enjoy it. I woke up one day shouting: "Eureka!", a brilliant idea that intoxicates the soul. A joke so witty, I cried from laughter. I stored it in my mind and shared it in a hurry. I put up a post on TikTok to show off, and saw that an identical meme was already there! My exact joke—How could it be? From an unknown account, from a month ago! My ego deflated... I collapsed onto the bed. Shame floods me, a blush invades me. I thought I was special, a witty being. I realize I'm just one more node... turns out I'm just one more node in the universal, human neural network. So, the next time I have an important idea, I'll ask my grandmother, because she'll know how to explain it to me. About any story and every brilliant idea, I'll take it for granted that it was already thought of by someone, whether in antiquity or in the immediate present past... Ha! In the year sixteen hundred and five, the first part of the immortal novel Don Quixote de la Mancha was published. Its author, Miguel de Cervantes Saavedra, acclaimed in posterity for his work and known as the "Prince of Wits" (Príncipe de los Ingenios), was asked about the vast and complex imagination of his tale. With the humility befitting a scholar, Cervantes is said to have replied: "It would seem that several hands wrote that manuscript." When the world tells you your idea is too strange, don't give up, brother, don't stop creating it. And your wit, the one that boldly navigated the abyss of oblivion, with its baggage of beautiful creations made with all its soul, will be headed toward glory, for its well-earned fame.
