Always On Rhyme

V6

[Intro - theatrical spoken] Good evening, dear people, come gather in line, The curtains are open, the weather is fine, I polished my cane with a shimmer divine, Precisely on time, for I’m always on rhyme. [Verse 1 - theatrical] I step on the stage with a click of the shoe, I bow to the left, then I bow back to you, My moustache is neat and my jacket is blue, My belly looks stern, but he’s cultured there too. I dance through the frost with remarkable ease, I shuffle through snow like a breeze through the trees, I freeze up the floor, then I slide where I please, And finish the number with elegant knees. I’m Psychic and Ice, quite a curious pair, I wave with my cane and adjust with great care, A gentleman dancer with rhythm to spare, Then Screen Cleaner sweeps every wall from the air. [Hook] Rhyme when I wander, then rhyme when I talk, Tap every step as I circle the block, Time every heel to the tick of the clock, Finish the phrase with a theatrical shock. Spin with a grin, let the nonsense begin, Twist every syllable thin as a pin, Meaning may wobble, but rhythm must win, Always on rhyme when the orchestra kicks in. [Appletun] Now look at Appletun, magnificent fare, A dragon concealed in confectionery flair, With nectar so sweet drifting soft everywhere, A walking dessert with botanical care. A garden-born monarch in caramel glaze, A creature of orchards and warm autumn days, It carries its sweetness with leisurely grace, Like nature baked royalty into its face. No need for a roar when your presence enchants, You wander through meadows while royalty prances, A dragon of apples, of syrup and plants, I’d rise from my seat to applaud your advances. [Fast rhyme] Romances, entrances, extravagant dances, Glances, finances, peculiar circumstances, Stances, enhancements, magnificent trances, Chances, expanses, delightful happenstances, Fragrances, balances, elegant countenances, One breath, one bow, and away the man dances! [Corviknight] Then darkness takes wing and the daylight grows slight, Behold through the heavens the grand Corviknight, With armour for feathers reflecting the light, A raven of steel in magnificent flight. It carries through Galar with sovereign command, A shadow that travels from city to land, No carriage below could appear half as grand, When midnight itself seems to fly where you stand. Those wings are a fortress, that gaze is profound, It sails through the heavens without making sound, A knight of the skyline surveying the ground, While clouds form a kingdom wherever it’s found. [Fast rhyme] Around, unbound, while the great bells resound, Renowned, spellbound, as the storm winds surround, Astound every watcher when thunder is crowned, Rebound through the heavens where moonlight is drowned, Compound every rhythm while cane strokes are pound, Then hush for a moment as silence comes round. [Sirfetch’d] And now comes Sirfetch’d, composed and refined, A warrior noble in body and mind, His leek is a lance of a marvelous kind, His shield held before him, his honour defined. He battles with fairness, with dignity sworn, A veteran polished by struggles well-worn, No jewel on sceptre, no crown need be borne, When chivalry marches with vegetable horn. He charges with courage, retreats without shame, Each duel is conducted respecting the game, That weathered old leek has earned glorious fame, A knight leaves the field with integrity’s name. [Fast rhyme] Claim into flame with a gold picture frame, Aim with the lance while the trumpeters proclaim, Came for the contest and left with acclaim, Tame every challenge while guarding his name, Same? Never once, that would cheapen the game, So alter each ending while keeping the aim! [Final Verse - fast] A dragon of orchards, a raven in flight, A leek-bearing champion magnificent, bright, Three wonderful players presented tonight, And I had the pleasure of phrasing it right. My logic may wander, my grammar may bend, But meter and cadence remain to the end, Each phrase finds a partner, each couplet a friend, And rhyme is the road I eternally tend. [Final Hook] Rhyme when I stride, let the syllables knock, Tap every measure while turning the lock, Seconds keep marching with tickety-tock, Always on rhyme as I finish the stock. Speak with delight while conducting the night, Twist every sentence till phrasing feels tight, Meaning can stumble yet still take its height, Provided each ending takes glorious flight. [Outro - theatrical spoken] Wait… Can you hear it? Tick goes the clock, and it tells me it’s time, My cane must depart at the sound of the chime, The curtain falls softly, the moment sublime, I really must go now… For I’m always on rhyme. [Grand orchestral finale]
