[Intro] Well I woke up this morning And the sky was shining blue Had a smile on my face And my boots knew what to do [Verse 1] My truck fired up On the very first try My coffee stayed hot And my toast didn't fly My dog came home With his tail held high Had a winning scratch-off And a tear in my eye [Pre-Chorus] No sad song playing No pouring rain No crying in my bottle No heartbreak pain [Chorus] It's a sunny day! Everything's going my way! My dog came home And my wife still loves me! It's a sunny day! Ain't got one sad thing to say! I walked in broke this morning Now I'm buying beer today! [Verse 2] The boss called up Said take the day The bank made a mistake In a real good way My old blue jeans Fit better than before And the girl at the counter Gave me one taco more [Pre-Chorus] So slide to the left Kick twice to the right Spin your partner laughing Under neon light [Chorus] It's a sunny day! Everything's going my way! My dog came home And my wife still loves me! It's a sunny day! Ain't got one sad thing to say! I walked in broke this morning Now I'm buying beer today! [Bridge] Fiddle starts singing Boot heels ringing Everybody in the place Got a big grin swinging Clap, clap, stomp Turn it around Good times rising up All over this town [Dance Break] Step, step, slide Kick, kick, turn Raise that cup Let the good times burn Step, step, slide Kick, kick, sway Everybody holler! It's a sunny day! It's a sunny day! [Final Chorus] It's a sunny day! Everything's going my way! My dog came home And my wife still loves me! It's a sunny day! Ain't got one sad thing to say! I walked in broke this morning Now I'm buying beer today! [Outro] My dog came home My wife loves me Got a scratch-off winner And the drinks are free It's a sunny day It's a sunny day Everybody line up It's a sunny day
