*THEN GRACE-AMAZING*
So much suffering, so much pain, A weary soul in search, in vain. Yearning deep for something more, Yet always stranded at the door. I chased the wind, I climbed in pride, But empty still, I cried inside. What I was seeking slipped away, Like fleeting stars at break of day. Then Grace—Amazing, strong and true, Shined through the dark, made all things new. A song, a whisper, soft but clear, Drew me back from doubt and fear. Through the awesome love of my wife, And her care for our family’s soul life, She showed me our Lord, whom I had missed, And The Road to Him through all the fog and mist. He stretched His arms—no shame, no blame, Just love that burned away my shame. The Holy Spirit, gifts in hand, Now bids me rise at His command. Then Grace—Amazing, strong and true, Shined through the dark, made all things new. A song, a whisper, soft but clear, Drew me back from doubt and fear. With Peace to calm the storms I face, With Wisdom laced in gentle grace, With Courage when the path is steep, With Faithfulness when others sleep. Understanding now I hold, Self-Control, more prized than gold. Each gift a seed, each word a flame, To speak of Him, to bear His name. Then Grace—Amazing, strong and true, Shined through the dark, made all things new. A song, a whisper, soft but clear, Drew me back from doubt and fear. My purpose now is clear and wide: To lead my family to His side. To sow His Word, both far and near, To live His love, to cast out fear. So if you see me walking slow, It’s not because I’ve lost my glow. I stop to plant, to speak, to pray, That all I love find Heaven’s way. Then Grace—Amazing, strong and true, Shined through the dark, made all things new. A song, a whisper, soft but clear, Drew me back from doubt and fear.
