I'll take your life End you of strife Cover your grave with flowers To charge up my powers [Chorus] I'm Soul Collector Arrogant to the core When you're shaky of breath I'm your Herald of Death Take your soul for mine It's nothing divine Not some Jekyll and Hyde Just needy and greedy (Aughh) [Instrumental] [Bridge] I'm here- I'm there- I'm everywhere Smoky teleportation Gets me 'cross the nation A grip of cold Makes you sick and old Stand beside you in shadow And you won't even know [Verse] I have no real name I was never born Not to human woman On some shining morn The Reaper walked by The wind stirred briefly When he was gone I stood there neatly [Chorus] I'm Soul Collector Arrogant to the core When you're shaky of breath I'm your Herald of Death Take your soul for mine It's nothing divine Not some Jekyll and Hyde Just needy and greedy (Aughh) [Instrumental] [Outro] You've done nothing with your life Your death could do better Give your soul unto me I'm Soul Collector Soul Collector ++++ ++++ ++++ ++++ ++++ Intended as a part of the Sunoverse, Soul Collector is an echo, or perhaps a remnant, of the Reaper. He didn't gain the powers of the Reaper, but he is akin to a manifestation of Death, in that he recharges his powers by consuming energy from the souls of the dead--and they must be fully dead, not dying. When anyone in the world is dying, he can sense it. His mind will isolate one death from the many deaths happening at the same time and focus on it. He can then determine their exact location, and can also tell exactly when their moment of death has arrived. He's able to teleport anywhere on Earth (and maybe elsewhere, but hasn't tested that). Since there are plenty of people dying at pretty much any given time, Soul Collector is seldom at a loss for sources to recharge him. Note that he doesn't consume one's entire soul, leaving some vestige of the dead behind to enjoy its deserved Afterlife. At will, he can activate his Icy Grip, which makes any targeted, touched living thing, plants included, sicker and older. Healthy people are highly resistant to this effect, but anyone with a cold or fever will see their condition worsen. The aging effect can increase a target's age by at most an hour, so isn't that noticeable for anyone who isn't on their deathbed. But for someone close to death already, he can hurry it along. However, he won't use this method to kill someone if he's hoping to use them to charge his powers; using this grip to kill someone prevents Soul Collector from consuming energy from them. Once any soul escapes to the Afterlife, Soul Collector can't take any energy from them. Soul Collector has a "Shadowjack" ability which makes him effectively invisible when he stands in shadow. Any light shown upon him, however, makes him visible wherever the light touches him. If Soul Collector is unable to recharge his powers when needed, he loses all of them except the ability to collect soul energy. But he'll have to find someone who's dying without the ability to sense them, and get to them without his ability to teleport to them. He won't be able to use his Icy Grip or Shadowjack abilities, either, until he can recharge. Only once has it happened where he failed to recharge when needed, and from that experience he estimates he can use his powers for three days after a full recharge before he absolutely needs to recharge again. That three-day window is usually more than sufficient, unless he gets lazy... Soul Collector enjoys going places, seeing sights, and just being a tourist sometimes. When he gets into one of these moods, he can become a bit complacent. He is arrogant to a fault, so trying to convince him of anything he's not already convinced of could take some work.
