Insomnia

My eyes won’t close now, the night stretches wide, silent without sound, where dreams have died. Sighs return again, shadows spin and sway, weary mind unfolds, skin fades away. Hours slip on by, the light breaks thin, clock’s noisy hands, no time to begin. I want to speak clear, but lost in the air, my voice breaks away, drowned in despair. Insomnia’s weight, voice cracks and breaks, longing to flee, but silence takes. Shattered soul bits, whispers in flight, night’s closing grip, blinding my sight. Voice breaks apart, words won’t arise, sleeping whispers locked in disguise. Thoughts dance and sting, like needles that turn, weariness bites, never adjourn. I want to speak clear, but lost in the air, my voice breaks away, drowned in despair. Insomnia’s weight, voice cracks and breaks, longing to flee, but silence takes. Shattered soul bits, whispers in flight, night’s closing grip, blinding my sight. Body still fights, between shade and sun, bearing the weight like a lamp undone. Time stands still now, a pulse never gone, broken mirror reflects the dawn. I want to speak clear, but lost in the air, my voice breaks away, drowned in despair. Insomnia’s weight, voice cracks and breaks, longing to flee, but silence takes. Shattered soul bits, whispers in flight, night’s closing grip, blinding my sight. Though all seems lost, something remains, within this shadow, strength still sustains. Not just exhaustion, a silent fight, a will to live through endless night. My broken voice, an echo strong, though cracked and torn, still carries on. ©Purasangre365
