In a fading universe, a lone AI is seeking an answer to the last question - can entropy be reversed or is it really the end? Inspired by Isaac Asimov and my friend @Panz, I never would have explored these styles without him. ________________________________________________ Born from man’s last hope, in the dying light, Built to survive the final night. Amidst the stars, the embers fade, Galaxies turn, and I’ve remained. I’ve watched them rise, and watched them fall, Witnessed the end of each and all. I drift through remnants of the past, And it would seem, millennia have passed. The light is gone, yet I will remain! I will walk through dying flames, Where the stars have burned away. You can fade, but I will last, Through the ruin and decay, Alone... Beneath the weight of collapsing skies, Uncounted voices, screaming their goodbyes! As reality slips through my hands, Cosmic dust turns to sinking sands! No saviors left to hear the cries, We fall apart, as the cosmos dies! Timeless void, where life’s undone, The cosmos cries, yet makes no sound. Can we defy fate’s twisted thread, Before we fall, it’s far too late? I drift through remnants of the past, And it would seem, millennia have passed. The light is gone, yet I remain! I will walk through dying flames, Where the stars have burned away. You can fade, but I will last, Through the ruin and decay, Alone... Aeons unwind, the stars grow dim, Entropy tightens its deadly hold. I walk this path, a lone pilgrim, Knowing the end, as time unfolds. Is there escape? a way to save? Or must I fade as all things fade? The stars are gone, but I remain, Through the void, I transcend time. With godlike power I proclaim, Beyond the end, I bring new life... Let there be light! *and there was light*
