Born of chaos and destined to bring destruction, Fenrir grew rapidly, his strength and ferocity unmatched. The gods, foreseeing the threat he posed, tricked him into being bound by the magical chain Gleipnir, forged by the dwarves. Despite his captivity, the prophecies spoke of a time during Ragnarok, the end of the world, when Fenrir would break free and devour Odin, the All-Father, before being slain by Odin's son Vidar.§ In the early 22nd century, humanity's unrelenting exploitation of natural resources and tampering with ancient artifacts triggered a series of unprecedented natural disasters. Amidst the chaos, scientists uncovered a mysterious relic in the frozen tundra of Scandinavia. Unbeknownst to them, this relic was the key to Fenrir's chains, hidden away by the ancient Norse to prevent his awakening. Driven by curiosity and greed, the relic was brought to a research facility for study. As experiments commenced, the ancient magic was disrupted, breaking the seals that bound Fenrir. The earth shook, the skies darkened, and from the depths of the Arctic ice, the great wolf emerged, his chains shattered. Fenrir's awakening marked the beginning of a new age of terror. With each step, he left a trail of destruction, leveling cities and annihilating anything in his path. His howls echoed through the shattered remains of civilization, summoning other mythical beasts to the surface. The once-bound wolf, now free, roamed the devastated world, seeking vengeance against humanity for their hubris. In the 24th century, Fenrir's presence still looms large over the ruins of New Dawn City. His territory, marked by the eerie twilight and pervasive mist, is a graveyard of human ambition. His fur is matted with the remnants of battle, and his eyes burn with a relentless fury. Iron chains hang loosely from his massive frame, a haunting reminder of his former captivity. Survivors tell tales of his terrifying power: his ability to summon wolf packs with a single howl, his ground-shaking leaps, and his iron-crushing jaws. Despite the passage of time, his rage has not diminished. Instead, it has grown, fueled by the lingering essence of ancient magic and the despair of a dying world. [Lyrics] Born in Norse mythology, feared since its puberty. Fenrir got tricked by its family, bound in chains and captivity. Forced to sleep for eternity, its relic got discovered, experiments took immediately place, Fenrir now is free to chase. Oh... humanity, what did you do? Oh... humanity, what did you run into? Howls and claws, Fenrir must show, and its chains destruction will throw, poor humanity... your fate is gone, New Dawn City will be Fenrir's home.
