Can a liar watch the sunset and the sunrise? Can a cheater love the rain and the moon? Can a junkie face the world, still find somethin' worth livin' for? Can a reckless man still hear music of Chopin? Close his eyes and just breathe in? Can someone who's fucked up everything still deserve the world he's in? Walkin' streets, my head's split open, same old thoughts keep rollin' in. Round and round, they keep on fightin', all that noise beneath my skin. Questionin' the simple things, things I used to know by heart. Takin' all that's pure and easy, tearin' every piece apart. Is it too late to turn around? Too far gone to make it right? More behind me than ahead now, still got reasons left to fight? Should I stop and try to save it? All the things I called my own. The world, the love, the life we built, you and me, the place called home. Or just let go. Close the book. Cut the string. Don't even look. No regrets. No rules to break. No more promises to make. Just me, me, me. That's all I see. Watch it all go down the drain, play the ending in my brain. Like it's done. Like it's gone. Like I've known it all along. Can't forget that look you gave me, still can feel your hand in mine. That little kiss, that quiet whisper, all those nights we lost in time. Cat runs wild between the two of us, chasin' toys across the floor. Your scent still lives inside my pillow, your hand's not there anymore. All gone? All wasted? Every little thing erased? Frozen solid. Thrown away. Mixed-up trash from yesterday. Can't recycle. Can't rewind. Leave that whole damn life behind. Grass is greener on the other side, Guess that's where the ghosts reside. Or I could stop. Could catch my breath. Could turn around. Could fight what's left. Could hold on tight. Could make it through. Could find my way back home to you. Or stand right here, too numb to move, waitin' for that ten-ton truck to come crashin' through. The third. Solution.
