Golden Throne Weight

A Prince and His Knights I would take a prince and his knights over a king on a golden throne, because a crown can sit too heavy on a heart that stands alone. Give me the one still riding, still learning from the road, with dust upon his shoulders and honor in his code. Give me the men who gather not because they fear his name, but because they see his courage and walk beside his flame. A king may own the castle, the silver, land and gates, but power without mercy turns kingdoms into graves. A prince still has to listen. A prince still has to prove that he can lead with wisdom, that he can bend and move. And knights — oh, give me knights — with loyalty in their bones, who guard the weak and weary before they guard the throne. Not men who bow to cruelty, not men who flatter lies, but warriors who read the shadows and look truth in the eyes. I do not need a ruler who thinks love means control. I want the kind of leader who still protects his soul. A king can make a prison and call it paradise. A prince can build a future with fire, faith and sacrifice. So let the kingdom whisper, let the old bells ring, I’ll take a prince and his knights over any hollow king. Because crowns can make men colder, and castles hide decay, but a prince with noble fighters can still become the day. Yes, I would choose the riders, the brave, the tried, the true — the ones who stand for something when the dark comes breaking through. For I have seen false kingdoms where power wears a smile, and I have learned that real honor walks beside you all the while. So keep your throne of thunder. Keep your polished, empty rings. I’ll take a prince and his knights over a thousand kings.
