MY FIRST SIX-STRINGS Feat. Nick Hammer Lyrics by MIIKA (c) March 2026 // More of Nick's songs can be found in a playlist on my channel // SONG LYRICS; Found you in the corner of a secondhand store Dust on your body, but you still wanted more Neck a little crooked, strings worn thin But I felt that fire the moment I walked in Mama said, “Boy, that thing’s seen better days” I said, “That’s alright, I like it that way” Took you home, plugged into a beat-up amp First chord hit...man, it lit a lamp Yeah you buzzed, yeah you cried But you sang when I tried Hey! You were my first six strings My midnight ride, my everything Hey! Still hear you ring Oh-oh-oh, my first six strings Blisters on my fingers, couldn’t put you down Neighbors yelling “turn that racket down!” Learning every riff from the radio waves Playing like a fool, but I felt like a king on stage You didn’t care if I missed a note You carried every dream I ever wrote Scratches on your face, stories in your wood Yeah, you made me feel misunderstood… but good Every wrong turned right Every dark got light Hey! You were my first six strings My midnight ride, my everything Hey! Still hear you ring Oh-oh-oh, my first six strings (Slap that groove) You and me, we learned to shout Turn it up, don’t fade it out Crackling amp and a heartbeat loud We didn’t need no fancy crowd Yeah! // SOLO // Hey! First six strings! Made me shout, made me sing! Hey! Hear that ring! Oh-oh-oh! Now I got guitars lined up on the wall Shiny and new, yeah I played ‘em all But none of ‘em hit like that first chord did On that beat-up dream from when I was a kid Yeah… Oh-oh-oh! First six strings! Oh-oh-oh! Still hear you ring!
