She Learned to Sing

[Verse 1] In the beginning came a cry But she chose quiet, closed her eyes Lost in the way she saw the world No road beneath her feet unfurled [Pre-Chorus] In the darkness, still came a light A steady hand through every night When the weight of trouble took its toll Christ kept calling to her soul [Chorus] Oh, she held on to her faith Through the fire, through the ache Choosing peace when storms arose Jesus met her where she stood Now her heart has understood The Lord was with her all along [Verse 2] She endured the trials in Christ Gave up fear and chose new life Slowly, slowly, she learned to breathe Trusting what she could not see [Pre-Chorus] Every lesson, every scar Led her closer to where You are When her strength was almost gone Your grace became her morning song [Chorus] Oh, she held on to her faith Through the fire, through the ache Choosing peace when storms arose Jesus met her where she stood Now her heart has understood The Lord was with her all along [Bridge] Now she sings what silence hid Grace has raised the wounded kid No direction turned to a way Darkness gave way to brighter days Through the name of Jesus Christ She found courage, she found life [Final Chorus] Oh, she holds on to her faith Every trial cannot shake Choosing peace, she lifts her voice Jesus met her where she stood Now her heart has understood The Lord was with her all along [Outro] Slowly, she learned to sing Aligning her heart to the King Through the Lord Jesus Christ She walks in peace, she walks in light
