The Legend of Duskryn
Ruler of the empire, Golden chariot his ride. Jeweled crown gleaming, Harem at his side. Collector of tax, Deals business with an axe. Your debt is due, He’s coming for you. Late one time, He takes a finger. Late again, Let the severance linger. He will take your wife Before he ends your life. Dreams run red Beneath his guillotine. He rules with a grin, An empire soaked in sin. Over sheep he reigns, A shadow with no name. You begged for mercy, Cowardice or plea, His army grinds All who bend the knee. This village needs a hero, An archer born of stealth. He unleashes arrows, Reclaims the stolen wealth. Duskryn arrives Under cover of night, His legend survives, Sinful rulers he fights. Steel sings soft, Like breath on the blade. Tyrants fall silent Where Duskryn has laid. Coins spill out, From bleeding hands, What was stolen returns To the common lands. No throne too high. No guard too proud. Where Duskryn walks, The tyrants bow. This village found its whisper, This empire found its end. Duskryn fades into legend, A shadow, a savior, A friend. His arrows sleep... 'Til called again.
