[Verse] In a dusty town where dreams go to die Mark sat alone wondering why With a heavy heart and a trembling hand He'd lost his faith couldn't understand [Verse 2] Barnabas came with a light in his eye Said Mark my friend give it one more try Picked up the pieces from the broken ground Said let's take this road and turn it around [Chorus] Rise from the ashes welcome the day Gonna find a path out of this gray With a friend like Barnabas at your side You can face the world no need to hide [Verse 3] Mark took a breath felt hope in his chest Said I'll chase this dream won't let it rest Barnabas smiled said I've got your back Together we'll put this life on track [Bridge] When your spirit's down and you feel so small Barnabas's voice echoes through it all Keep on going when the world says no Together we'll reap what we're bound to sow [Chorus] Rise from the ashes welcome the day Gonna find a path out of this gray With a friend like Barnabas at your side You can face the world no need to hide
