Spring in the city (feat. The Cherry Thieves)

SPRING IN THE CITY (feat. The Cherry Thieves) Lyrics by MIIKA (c) March 2026 ========== Cherry blossoms on the avenue Pink confetti in the air Sidewalks shining after rain Perfume of spring everywhere Traffic hums like a distant song Neon flickers soft and clear I used to walk with my head down low Now I smile ‘cause you are here Subway doors slide open wide Cold wind disappears Somehow every crowded street Feels lighter when you’re near It’s spring in the city tonight You turn all the grey into light Through the noise, I feel your heart And it blooms where we are Rooftop evenings, golden haze Laundry dancing in the breeze Open windows, strangers laugh Tender air at seventy-three Streetlights blink like constellations Reflected in your eyes You say, “I’ve got you, don’t you worry,” And the whole world softens wide Used to feel so small out here In buildings tall and cold Now I feel you watching over me Braver than before It’s spring in the city tonight You turn all the grey into light Through the noise, I feel your heart And it blooms where we are <SOLO> Maybe love is simple things Coffee steam in morning light Waiting at the crosswalk Holding my hand tight Maybe it’s the way you stay Even when we’re worlds apart Like petals falling from the trees Landing gently on my heart It’s spring in the city tonight You turn all the grey into light Through the noise, I feel your heart And it blooms where we are Cherry blossoms in the street Taxi lights and steady feet All I know, all I see You’re watching over me
