A new musical genre is born: Kitchencore! What makes it special: This genre isn't defined by shared musical traits, but rather by the way the songs are created. It might just be the very first genre where AI is an integral part of the creative process from the start. Curious? Then join in and follow my example! Rules: 🫖 Use kitchen utensils and your body as instruments. Anything that makes a sound is allowed: pots, glasses, bottles, kitchen appliances, your hands, your voice... let your imagination run wild! 🫖 Make an audio recording of your kitchen-music improvisation. A few ideas: 🥂 Tap spoons on glasses and pots to create a rhythm or melody. 🥂 Run kitchen appliances. 🥂 Blow into bottles to create flute- or didgeridoo-like tones. 🥂 Clap out a rhythm with your hands. 🥂 Use wine glasses filled with different levels of water as a glass harp. 🥂 Sing, hum, whistle, beatbox, or scream an improvised melody over it. 🫖 Upload your audio recording(s) to Suno and create cover versions – ideally with a fairly high "Audio Influence" (recommended: 50–70%). Experiment with the style prompt while doing so. 🫖 Create a mashup of the best results and, if you like, turn that into another cover version (with added lyrics or purely instrumental). 🫖 Set the style of your song to "Kitchencore". Post the link to your finished song here. 🥂 Important 🥂 : Your recordings can be completely amateurish—trust in the capabilities of the AI! In fact, a total lack of technical skill often leads to surprisingly interesting results that go way beyond what purely prompt-based AI songs can do. [Intro] The hour comes. The hunger calls. Tonight I cook. God help us all. [Verse 1] I came into this kitchen with a plan inside my head. A simple little dinner, a promise quickly dead. The onions hit the counter, the spices hit the floor. I don't know what this pan is for, but I think I need three more. The cutting board is missing, the kitchen knife is gone. I swear I had a recipe before this war began. There is flour on the ceiling, there is fire in my eyes. Something somewhere started smoking— I refuse to ask me why. [Chorus] I have to cook tonight! I have to feed them all! The kitchen's falling to destruction, but I will not let it fall! I have to cook tonight! There is no turning back! The meal may end in glory, or a complete disaster attack! [Verse 2] The water starts to boil, the pasta takes command. The sauce has formed a creature that I do not understand. A wooden spoon lies broken, the sink is overflowing. I think I missed an important step, but nobody is knowing. The timer starts screaming, the oven starts to glow. I opened up the wrong damn door, and now I do not know. [Pre-Chorus] There is something on the ceiling, something crawling on the floor. I came here just to make some food— now I am fighting kitchen war. I have to cook tonight! I have to feed them all! The kitchen's falling to destruction, but I will not let it fall! I have to cook tonight! There is no turning back! The meal may end in glory, or a complete disaster attack! [Bridge] Maybe I should have ordered pizza. No. I have come too far. There is no retreat. The table waits. The war must be complete. CHOP IT! STIR IT! TURN IT! BURN IT! I WILL NOT ORDER TAKEOUT! [Final Chorus] I have to cook tonight! I have to feed them all! The kitchen's falling to destruction, but I will not let it fall! I have to cook tonight! The final battle's here! If this thing somehow turns out edible, I'll celebrate with beer! [Outro] The kitchen's wrecked. The meal is done. I have no idea what I've become. But dinner's on the table. ...I think.
