✦ THE SILENCE OF GOD ✦ (A Conversation with Dostoevsky)
I did not lose my faith. I lost... my certainty. There is a difference. Candles drown in frozen churches. Icons watch with broken eyes. Every prayer climbs like smoke and disappears into the sky. Children asking ancient questions. Old men dying without peace. Tell me— who keeps count when justice sleeps? [Pre-Chorus] If heaven listens, why does silence sound so human? Where are You when the innocent fall? Where are You when no one calls? I searched for thunder. I found a whisper. I searched for judgment. I found myself. Every brother carries Cain. Every saint hides doubt inside. Every courtroom built by reason leaves another soul on trial. Love is heavier than logic. Mercy deeper than the law. Every answer I collected opened one more hidden door. Maybe Hell isn't fire. Maybe... it's the place where love becomes only an argument. (silence) Answer me... or teach me how to wait. Where are You when the innocent fall? Where are You inside us all? If You stay silent, let me listen. If You stay hidden, let me become the answer someone else was praying for. The silence... never ended. Only my listening began.
