Another Room - RadioPine

V6

[Intro — almost empty. One warm analog synthesizer, a slowly breathing tone. No drums. No guitar.] I woke up in a different room The walls were almost gone There was a light beneath the door But I didn’t know where it led [The analog synth becomes slightly more defined. The voice remains intimate.] I stayed there for a while Listening to the floor Something underneath me moved Like it had been there before [The synth begins a slow repeating figure, still sparse. No percussion.] And I don’t know If I’m going back And I don’t know What I left behind [The synth suddenly changes character: brighter, wider, more unstable. The vocal remains calm.] I can feel the room becoming larger I can feel the ceiling disappear Every sound is turning into something I have never heard before [Brief interruption — almost silence.] Maybe I was never standing still [The synth returns in a completely different register. A new harmonic world. Voice becomes more exposed and emotional.] Now the floor is underneath the sky And the sky is underneath me I keep reaching for the shape of it But it keeps changing when I breathe [The synth gradually becomes rhythmic without drums, pulsing through its own envelope.] Don’t tell me where this ends Don’t give me back my name If this is where I disappear Let me disappear awake [Major emotional rise. The analog synth becomes huge but remains the only instrumental voice.] I was waiting for the world to settle I was waiting for a sign But the world was never broken It was only changing shape [Sudden cut. One sustained analog tone.] And now I see it [Final section — synth slowly loses its brightness and becomes warm, distant, almost human.] There was never another room There was only another way To look at the light [Outro — synth alone, slowly dissolving.]
