My thoughts are heavy, hard to bear, There’s something bad in the air. Is it the world, or is it me, Turning darker than it’s meant to be? Black sun, black skies! I watch the light dissolve and die. Black sun, black skies! Will I escape, or am I the night? Black sun, black skies! Will I ever be able to make this right? If there's a dawn beyond this storm, a fleeting hope to keep me warm. Black sun, black skies! Black sun.. Black skies.. The mirror shows a face I knew, But now it’s pale and cracked in two. I light a candle, but it won’t stay, Its flame bends low, then fades away. I wonder if I’m past repair, Or if there’s still a spark somewhere. Black sun, black skies! I watch the light dissolve and die. Black sun, black skies! Will I escape, or am I the night?
