[Intro - 4 Bars] [Verse 1] Caught in a rip tide, going down for the last time. Then I saw You standing there, standing there for me. Life flashed before my eyes, I began to realize— You were reaching down, reaching down for me. [Chorus] You it was You, it was You, its always been You. You it was You, it was You, its always been You [Verse 2] Looking far, looking wide, found me on the other side. You did it all for me, gave Your all for love. Sent down the best of You, Father and the Spirit too. Your kingdom came for love, You gave Yourself for us. [Chorus] You it was You, it was You, its always been You. You it was You, it was You, its always been You [Bridge-from G major to A major, returns to G] Do you wanna walk on water? Take the risk, step on out. If you’re ever gonna walk on water, leave the boat and leave the doubt. (Hey, hey, hey) [Verse 3] Pulled me up, set me down, put my feet on solid ground— my feet on solid ground. Once lost but now I'm found. Won't build on sinking sand, You've got a better plan for me. You promised I would see, Your mercy set me free. [Chorus] You it was You, it was You, its always been You. You it was You, it was You, its always been You [Chorus] You it was You, it was You, its always been You. You it was You, it was You, its always been You
