[Verse] I saw a comet cut the night in two, It left a scar across the velvet blue. Whispered secrets only stars could hear, The kind that vanish when you get too near. [Chorus] Velvet sky ( velvet sky), Where the dreams go when they fly. Velvet sky, velvet sky - Catch my heart before it dies. [Verse 2] The moon’s a thief it steals the tides, The clouds are blankets where the truth hides. Every shadow holds a bit of light And every wrong turn makes the map feel right. [Prechorus] If I could bottle the way it glows, Would it still feel like it knows? [Chorus] Velvet sky ( velvet sky), Where the dreams go when they fly. Velvet sky, velvet sky - Catch my heart before it dies. [Bridge] I’m not looking ,for a place to land, Just a piece of space I can understand. Tie my wishes to a meteor’s tail And let them burn till the morning pale.
