[Intro] (In the night) [Verse 1] Through the mist I see him ride Blackened cloak and burning eyes Ancient symbols on his staff Whispered words from ages past Hooves are striking against the stone Through the night he rides alone No priest can break the spell he brings No mortal hand can stop his wings [Pre-Chorus] Raise the symbol Raise it high Break the circle Cross the line Leave the daylight Leave the sun Enter darkness Become the one [Chorus] THE BLACK RIDER! Comes across the night THE BLACK RIDER! Bearer of the light Through the fire Through the flame He who knows The secret name THE BLACK RIDER! Calling from beyond THE BLACK RIDER! Where the dead belong [Verse 2] Purple skies and crimson moon Something ancient stirs too soon Bones are hanging from his hand Calling spirits from the land He does not speak of death or fear Only things unseen are near Every shadow knows his face Every road leads to his place [Final chorus] THE BLACK RIDER! Comes across the night THE BLACK RIDER! Bearer of the light Through the fire Through the flame He who knows The secret name THE BLACK RIDER! Calling from beyond THE BLACK RIDER! Where the dead belong
