[Intro] "Do you ever feel like a fraud?" Yeah. Thirty-seven trillion cells pretending to be one person. Of course it feels a fraudulent perversion. [Verse 1. The Interview] Job interview, smart shirt, handshake firm and sure, "Tell me about yourself". where does one even begin the tour? Gut bacteria voted on the fit, serotonin cast the tie, Amygdala vetted handshake pressure, cortex red the lie that one is "a seasoned professional with impeccable success," When the ecosystem is more accurately described as "one's controlled mess." Imposter syndrome: the feeling that one's secretly unqualified, That real experts are elsewhere and one's merely the disguised committee of conflicting impulses wearing a human suit, microbiome chose breakfast, cortex takes credit for what fruits. But what if imposter syndrome isn't a bug, but diagnostic truth? One IS an imposter, not a fraud, but composite composed proof. that "individual" was always fiction, the convenient narrative that let ecosystem file taxes and maintain the imperative, showing up to meetings as one person, not a nation-state of thirty-seven trillion, each with their own relational debate. [Hook] Imposter? Nah, an ecosystem trying to fit inside a name, Thirty-seven trillion voices, none, named as one in the same. Syndrome isn't the sickness, diagnostically reflect: one is never one, cohesively beget. [Verse 2. The Conference] Conference stage, slide deck displayed, microphone adjusted right, "Today I'll present our findings...", whose findings, in whose light? Hippocampus retrieved the data, Broca's area formed the speech, adrenal glands supplied the tremor, gut supplied the breach between what's rehearsed and what the body actually delivers, an ecosystem on stage: thirty-seven trillion nervous shivers. "Any questions?", the prefrontal cortex braces for challengers fight, Amygdala's already calculated escape routes, fear in flight Microbiome's requesting more fibre and less stress, Imposter ecosystem: performative confidence in a mess. But everyone on stage is an ecosystem in a suit, Every "expert" a committee arguing over who's the root. Imposter syndrome democratizes, nobody's the one thing whole, Every professional plays part, ecosystem plays its role. [Hook] Imposter? Nah, an ecosystem trying to fit inside a name, Thirty-seven trillion voices, none, named as one in the same. Syndrome isn't the sickness, diagnostically reflect: one is never one, cohesively beget. [Verse 3 . The Liberation] Liberation isn't "overcome imposter syndrome's grip," liberation is: accept the ecosystem, let the fiction slip. One was never a single self, the Theseus Shift already proved, The Named Wilderness tamed, the individual's removed from the centre of the narrative, replaced by the community inside, Thirty-seven trillion organisms, conscious mind's the guide, Not the boss, the narrator, the spokesperson for the whole. Imposter ecosystem: the most honest version of the soul. Applied externally to community, the self as commune, not king, Gut bacteria have a vote, the neurons have their thing, Microbiome influences mood before the cortex knows, Imposter ecosystem: the most democratic thing that grows. So next time the syndrome whispers "fraud", respond with the correct: "Not a fraud. A city. A jungle. An orchard. An ecosystem in effect. One contains multitudes, Whitman, the Named Wilderness track, Imposter ecosystem: the truth that sets the imposter back." [Bridge] Thirty-seven trillion cells walked into a job interview. The interviewer said: "Tell me about you." Thirty-seven trillion cells said: "How much time do you have?" The interviewer said: "Five minutes." Thirty-seven trillion cells sighed, picked one voice, and said: "Ed, be here." [Outro] Imposter ecosystem , not a fraud, a multitude, Not a syndrome, census, not a sickness, a latitude of selves within the self that the job description can't contain, Imposter ecosystem, the most honest frame claimed.
