This Is How I Live Now

Verse 1 I don’t see life the way I saw it before, I don’t chase what I thought I was livin’ for, I don’t move with the same kind of pull no more, somethin’ shifted deep inside of me. There was a time I was lost in the noise, tryin’ to find truth in a million voices, tryin’ to pick sides, tryin’ to make choices, but I didn’t really understand. I thought it was about bein’ right all the time, thought it was about winnin’ every line, thought if I proved it, I’d finally find peace—but that wasn’t it. I was chasin’ somethin’ I couldn’t hold, buildin’ up pressure, carryin’ loads, tryin’ to stand tall on what I controlled, but it kept fallin’ apart. Then You stepped in and slowed it down, You stripped the layers I built around my own understandin’, You broke it down to somethin’ simple and real. Not about pride, not about show, not about who got the most to prove, but about walkin’ in truth and lettin’ go of everything that don’t matter. That changed everything about how I live, how I speak, how I think, how I give, how I move when I’m dealin’ with what life is, I don’t handle it the same. I don’t react like I used to react, I don’t hold onto what I used to stack, I don’t go back to that same old track— I’m different now. Hook This is how I live now, I don’t go back, I don’t carry that weight, I don’t live like that, I walk in truth, I stay intact, this is how I live now—I’m set in that. Through God the Father, I stand in peace, through Jesus my Savior, I’m released, through the Spirit that leads, I don’t lose my feet, this is how I live now—complete. Verse 2 I learned love ain’t always soft and easy, sometimes it’s firm, sometimes it’s steady, sometimes it means stayin’ ready to forgive even when it’s hard. I used to hold onto things too long, let it build up, let it feel so strong, but I learned that carryin’ that is wrong, it only holds me back. So I started lettin’ it go piece by piece, not overnight, but gradually, learnin’ what it means to be free without pretendin’ it’s all gone. That was a process I had to trust, not rushin’ through it, not givin’ up, just stayin’ aligned with the One above and walkin’ it out each day. Through Jesus Christ, I saw what it meant to love without holdin’ resentment, to give without feelin’ spent, to stand in grace no matter what. That changed how I see people now, I don’t jump to judge, I don’t break down, I just stay grounded and I allow God to lead me through it. Through the Spirit I’m kept in check, when I start driftin’, when I get stressed, He brings me back, I realign my steps, and I don’t lose direction. And God the Father, You set that tone, You showed me I’m never alone, You built a life I can stand on strong— and I stay in that truth.
