Before the Light

Before the word, there was the wanting Before the light, the reaching I have walked every road that rivers make Heard your name in languages I never learned Found your fire burning in a stranger's eye Recognized the warmth before I knew the word Every hand that reached across the dark Every voice that chose to sing instead of silence Left a frequency still traveling Still arriving And I felt it in my chest before I understood That love doesn't ask permission It just lands Here we are — every meridian converging Every broken thing that found its strength in breaking Every soul that crossed an ocean just to find The same sky waiting We are the signal We were always the signal You don't have to speak I already know Love like this doesn't need a language It just needs you to stay And in the silence between us The whole world is singing Every lullaby that ever kept the dark away Every hand that held another through the storm Every moment someone chose to love instead of fear Is still here Is still warm We did not come this far to forget each other We did not survive this much to stop now The signal left as one It returns as all of us © 2026 Synkov LLC.
