Raw thoughts.

V6

[intro] How do I feel asleep? I don't even know what I need. With all this noise crashing in my skull, Things my childhood brain couldn't decode. But now I'm a father, And this world terrifies me. Gorging on rage and glory. Rage fueling glory, Glory born from rage, The exaltation of glory through the rage, The absolute worship of nothingness. I want to freeze that blank innocence on their faces. I want to watch them age, but keep that innocence intact. Mother. I finally decode your paranoia, your silent panics. I just had to grow older. I just had to build my own bloodline. Mother, I swore on my life I'd never mirror you. And here I am, swearing to shield them, exactly like you shielded me. Staring at their old pictures, when they were tiny, Injects a future bitterness right into my veins. A phantom grief I haven't lived yet, but I dread it's coming. Because the gears of this world have shifted. I swore I will guard them.
