Sit back and listen while I Share a little about who I am You want it you got it and I’ll respect that I’ll build a little camp fire to keep us warm And pretend it’s just you and me, Light Warrior [Rap, west coast hypnotic flow, male] Light Warrior, just the sound of that name might be intimidating You might think I’m “holier than thou” or something There might be a few reasons why I choose that name To be my account name on a site that you can share music publicly You see When I grew up I was brought to church occasionally by my family And at a young age decided I wanted to become a Christian, but I didn’t always walk the way That Jesus walked, at high school I forgot When we are baptized in water we leave our old ways behind And rise to become a new creation But there were things that I was ok living with And it took me being dumped by my girl friend And being injured in sports, my two outlets Where I was living for myself To then be confronted by my high school teacher At a secular high school about the topic of where our eyes might spend time Pointed against Ordained things, Right to Negative things That might instead have us objectify beauty I knew I had to change my way of living And asked God to help me And the amazing thing was that God really did meet me where I was at I grew closer to God And I felt God’s presence for the first time in a while I would randomly read the Bible and What really got me emotionally moved And maybe even help me spiritually Was listening to a new style of music that I didn’t know existed A style of music that I liked, rock, but it praised and honored Jesus And when I met a friend group that had similar beliefs That’s when I continued to grow in my faith And started to step out in ways I never thought I would I began to share my beliefs with strangers Because one of the core beliefs related to Jesus Is that when we let others know about him Amazing things can happen Others that maybe have never heard about him Can get to know him and we get to share the amazing gift Eternal life through believing in God’s son Jesus The funny thing is that stepping out in faith is kind of like a domino effect The more you see God move and you surrender to have him use you The more you want to see it happen again I found myself living in a ministry house after graduating college And we would serve our community by feeding them That’s where I met my wife Of whom we now share a family with To fast forward from that house to present would skip a lot of things And I might share a few things Of how what actually got my wife and I talking Was our physical injuries from sports And how after becoming married We have had ups and downs battling a life long disease But maybe those stories can be shared another night Around a different camp fire Maybe the same one here and I forgot, how would you like your marshmallow? Back to why I choose the name of the Light Warrior fellow When I first joined this app I was confronted with amazing music and was blown away with how you could make your ideas come to life and it felt like a trick But it was hard to find the style of music that I mentioned previously That helped me emotionally and spiritually And I saw occasionally even the exact opposite Others making fun of Jesus Deep down in my spirit I felt conflicted And decided to be a Light and a Warrior for Jesus And try to become a beacon for others to maybe get to know him For the first time or maybe be reminded Like I need to be reminded daily Because the love of God is what gets me though the tough times in life Which at times are so present that they don’t seem to be “times” but just life And my goal was to try and create songs, some of which could make the Bible come alive In styles though Suno [Hook, male] You want to talk real?
