[INTRO – stomps, claps, loud sleigh bells, crowd “HEY!”] (Spoken) Turn it up… it’s Christmas! [VERSE 1] Snow is falling on the old high street Fairy lights are dancing round our feet Shop doors closing but the band’s still loud We’ve been waiting all year for this crowd [PRE-CHORUS] Put your worries on the shelf Tonight we’re all our jolly little selves Kick the year out, let it ring Everybody clap your hands and sing [CHORUS] Turn it up, it’s Christmas time Whoa-oh, feel that jingle in your spine Shake your cares like snow off your coat Let the good times jump in your throat Sing it loud out in the cold Like a story that never gets old Turn it up, let the church bells chime Hey! Turn it up, it’s Christmas time [VERSE 2] Grandma’s dancing with a tinsel crown Grandad’s moves are upside down Dog’s gone crazy for the wrapping string Someone hit a high note they should never sing [PRE-CHORUS 2] Put your troubles in a box Kick it underneath the socks Let the toms and sleigh bells roll Three, four, five, now lose control [CHORUS] Turn it up, it’s Christmas time Whoa-oh, feel that jingle in your spine Shake your cares like snow off your coat Let the good times jump in your throat Sing it loud out in the cold Like a story that never gets old Turn it up, let the church bells chime Hey! Turn it up, it’s Christmas time [BRIDGE – half-time, big bells, simple hook] La-la-la, the year was rough La-la-la, we’ve had enough La-la-la, but tonight this town Is a snow globe we can’t put down [FINAL CHORUS – optional key change, more ad-libs] Turn it up, it’s Christmas time Whoa-oh, feel that jingle in your spine Shake your cares like snow off your coat Let the good times jump in your throat Sing it loud out in the cold Like a story that never gets old Turn it up, let the church bells chime Hey!
