I know we are only human But at times we try to rely on our own strength Fighting unseen battles that leaves us in pain While we have a Goliath that still stands in our way But in Christ we are more than conquers Just like David in the battle against Goliath We rely on the strength of the Lords power The enemy He will silence! With just a smooth stone in his hand David was a champion in the end! With the Power of God, David slain the bear Helped him slain the lion as well by the mouth You can stand up to your Goliath without fear Watch the power of God behind your sling shot The enemy may convey curses to us Laugh at our mistakes with such applaud But stand firm in the Lord and trust Watch the awesome mighty works of the Lord, the power of God “You come to me using sword, spear, and javelin. But I come to you in the name of the Lord All-Powerful, the God of the armies of Israel.” It’s not my battle to fight For the battle belongs to the Lord I’m reminded to walk by faith and not by sight He has always come through for me many, many times before Many times before With the Power of God, David slain the bear Helped him slain the lion as well by the mouth You can stand up to your Goliath without fear Watch the power of God behind your sling shot With the Power of God, David slain the bear Helped him slain the lion as well by the mouth You can stand up to your Goliath without fear Watch the power of God behind your sling shot With just a smooth stone in his hand David was a champion in the end! With the power of God The power of God!
