V4.5

GrandDads are a different type, Fun and wild, despite the hype. With an icy glare that chills the air, Then hugs you like a grizzly bear. He’s waiting there, calm as can be, Even when we're late, no fuss from he. A steady rock, never at loss, The one Mom and Dad can never boss. He hugs us all with arms so wide, With love so strong it won’t subside. He walks with God, gentle and slow, Through every high and every low. He loves my Grandma with all he’s got, Dotes on her whether cold or hot. Each morning starts with love so wide, With her always at his side. His wisdom comes through tales and fun, Of when Dad and Mom were young and dumb. He gets them laughing ‘til they cry— A rare feat, I can't deny! He hugs us all with arms so wide, With love so strong it won’t subside. He walks with God, gentle and slow, Through every high and every low. They say his past was rough and tough, The kind of life that made him gruff. But now he walks with softened tread, Grace in every word he’s said. He knows where his last home will be, A Heaven waiting, calm and free. Yet here he stays, not rushing on, Making sure we’re strong when he is gone. He hugs us all with arms so wide, With love so strong it won’t subside. He walks with God, gentle and slow, Through every high and every low. One final thing I gotta say, He loves the family God He gave. It’s why we’re held so very tight, By him and Grandma with all their might. Thanks, GrandDad for spending the time, It’s how I will now raise a family of mine. With faith and love and charity, Ever thanking God for all He’s given me. He hugs us all with arms so wide, With love so strong it won’t subside. He walks with God, gentle and slow, Through every high and every low- Our Biggie hugs us all with arms so wide, With love so strong it won’t subside. He walks with God, gentle and slow, Through every high and every low.
