[Billy Boba and Kimmy take the road less traveled to avoid the boba drones of the evil Dr. Caramella. They encounter wild boba creatures and narrowly escape with their lives. After a long day of travel and boba battles, Billy and Kimmy have settled at a campfire. Billy asked Kimmy how she came to love boba drinks. She smiled and said it's a long story. As she starts to tell it, Billy falls asleep] [Scene: A quiet campfire in Hollow Cane forest. Fireflies flicker. Billy Boba snores nearby, his head tipped back. Kimmy clutches a half-empty cup she’s been carrying, gazing into the flames.] [celesta music box opening] [Verse 1 - KIMMY female vocalist – soft, reflective] I used to sit in coffee shops Steam rising in the air Cappuccinos, lattes, mochas Pretending I belonged there He loved drinking every brew So I drank them too I loved every drop, or so I thought Because I loved him, oh so much [Verse 2 - Kimmy female vocalist] But then I saw him with another Sharing coffee --- huh, it wasn't his mother They drank, laughed and kissed I sat there, eyes clouded with mist Then walked away, hands in fists [pre-chorus - Kimmy female vocalist] So I quit drinking coffee, Looked for something more saucy Instead I found pearly sweetness Boba became my weakness [instrumental] Ohhh [chorus - Kimmy female vocalist] I drowned myself in boba Ohhh, it was sweeter than soda Each pearl sweetened the pain And relaxed my poor brain The more I drank, the more I would gain But if I had to do it over I’d do it all again [instrumental] Mmmm Ohhhhh [BRIDGE – Kimmy female vocalist, emotional crescendo] Maybe it’s a crutch, maybe it’s a lie Maybe too much sugar made my heart run dry But it filled the cracks he carved inside my chest And with each pearl i chewed My heart would ache less and less [instrumental] [chorus - Kimmy female vocalist – tender, almost whispered] I drowned myself in boba Ohhh, it was sweeter than soda Each pearl sweetened the pain And relaxed my poor brain I drank and drank to forget his name And if I had to do it over I’d do it all again! [instrumental interlude and then the song quiets down and becomes muted back to the celestra music box] [Verse 1: male vocalist spoken:] Wow! Heh, kid, I get it Love’ll chew you up worse than stale tapioca. Well, you know what? Boba may be too sweet But your standin’ on your own two feet! The past’ll weigh you down if you let it! It'll melt your brain into s'mores and get you committed! [Verse 1: female vocalist spoken:] Yeah, I know Thanks Let's get some shut eye, ok? Goodnight, Billy
