"Echo of a Glance"

The ticking clock is the master of the room Cold coffee, routine's silent gloom Blue screen light on my face, where silence stays An open book stuck in a lonely haze Glued pages, time dragging on the floor Where did life go hiding anymore? I feel I’ve seen you in a dream of mine On the edge of what time left behind A recognition, a shock, a sign The missing verse in my design Finally... Gray Tuesday, a worn-out coat Wandering streets, a pavement afloat Yellow streetlights bathing the square The world outside is smoke in the air And there you were, reading the wind Stopping the clock where we both begin I feel I’ve seen you in a dream of mine On the edge of what time left behind A recognition, a shock, a sign The missing verse in my design Finally... Green trench coat, hair across your eyes Map in hand, under heavy skies Not a name spoken, not a single word But my soul already knew what it heard... Already waiting for you. The silence broke The echo stopped I found you... I found you.
