[Intro — whispered, soft Rhodes piano] Red velvet... Candlelight... Come a little closer. It's cold outside. [Verse 1 — sultry, breathy] Crimson curtains, golden shadows Snow is falling past the glass There's a record turning slowly Playing songs from Christmas past You're in black, I'm dressed in scarlet Little diamonds in my ears But the way you look at me now Makes the whole world disappear [Pre-Chorus — sensual melodic build] Turn the music down a little Let the candles take their time There's a thousand people celebrating But tonight your world is mine [Chorus — silky, addictive] It's a red velvet Christmas Wrapped in kisses, dressed in wine Got your arms around my waist And your heartbeat next to mine Red velvet Christmas Let the winter turn to gold We don't need another present When we've got somebody to hold Oh, the snow keeps falling But we're burning through the night It's a red velvet Christmas And everything feels right [Post-Chorus — breathy layered harmonies] Velvet, velvet Red against the white Velvet, velvet Hold me through the night Ooh, ooh Red velvet Christmas With you [Verse 2 — smooth R&B groove] There's a little lipstick on your collar And a smile you cannot hide Every time you lean in closer I forget the world outside Got the city wrapped in silver Got the moon above the trees But there's nothing quite as beautiful As the way you're looking at me [Pre-Chorus — rising vocal harmonies] Let the snow cover the sidewalks Let the church bells fill the air We've got everything we're needing In this little moment here [Chorus — richer harmonies] It's a red velvet Christmas Wrapped in kisses, dressed in wine Got your arms around my waist And your heartbeat next to mine Red velvet Christmas Let the winter turn to gold We don't need another present When we've got somebody to hold Oh, the snow keeps falling But we're burning through the night It's a red velvet Christmas And everything feels right [Bridge — stripped Rhodes, intimate vocals] Take away the golden ribbons Take away the diamond shine Take away the pretty parties And the champagne after nine Would you still be here beside me When the last December ends? 'Cause the sweetest kind of Christmas Is a love that doesn't end [Build — whispered, delicate sleigh bells] Red velvet... Soft kisses... One more Christmas wish... Stay with me. [Final Chorus — soaring soulful harmonies] RED VELVET CHRISTMAS Wrapped in kisses, dressed in wine Let the stars fall through the windows Let the whole world pass us by Red velvet Christmas There's a magic in your touch Not the kind you find in presents But the kind that means so much Oh, the snow keeps falling And the stars are shining bright It's a red velvet Christmas And you're everything tonight [Outro — whispered, fading piano] Red velvet... Golden lights... Merry Christmas, baby. Stay a little longer.
