Rumbles of thunder, Then a flash, A lightning strike! Gators thrash! A bolt hit the swamp, venomous volts Waylon ducks as his still starts to smoke Roscoe's scales shimmer, cattails spark The swamp got struck, swamp-shocked after dark. The still blows sky-high, fireflies cry Kinfolk think it's the 4th of July. Moonshine bleeds into the reeds below Snakes light up with an eerie glow. Swamp-shocked! Flashin’ green in the night... Swamp-shocked! Where the dark ignites... It flickers It breathes It snaps It bites Swamp-shocked! Like a fuse took flight. The moss hangs low, like charred tears The fog stepped in, thick with fear Snakes etching symbols in the ash Gator tails shake, glow and crash... Roscoe takes a peek, through the haze Waylon lights his lantern, slack-jawed, gray The reeds still sizzlin', the fireflies fled The swamp woke up like it wasn’t dead. The swamp don’t fake It don’t explain It stings with truth Then leaves a stain Swamp-shocked! Cattails screamin' in the night... Swamp-shocked! Where the gators fight, It flickers It breathes It snaps It bites Swamp-shocked! And it just might. Black water steamin' with a neon glow Critters diggin' in, bring it on, lets go! The cypress groan, prayin' the storm moves along Waylon whispers, “We're swamp strong!”
