I write a Christmas message As I’m sitting here alone To say I’m thinking of you Even though I’m far from home I hope you know I’m missing My precious family every day And I hope you spare a thought for me  On this special Christmas Day So here’s a brand new Christmas How time so quickly passed A brand new year is looming near And the future’s coming fast I’ve had a word with Santa He’s with the reindeer and their sleigh They’re travelling right around the world  To make your Christmas day Yes they’re flying over sunsets And they’re guided by starlight You might see them soon as they cross the moon If you’re looking out tonight So here’s a brand new Christmas How time so quickly passed A brand new year is looming near And the future’s coming fast And back in Santa’s workshop They’re busy stacking shelves Mrs Claus has lots of chores Working with the [magic] elves They’re reading all the letters From all the girls and boys They’re baking all the Christmas cake  And wrapping up the toys So here’s a brand new Christmas How time so quickly passed A brand new year is looming near And the future’s coming fast Santa waits until you’re sleeping Then he’ll use his magic key He’ll softly tread, by your sleeping bed Leaving presents by the tree. So, if you’ve Christmas wishes I hope they all come true And if you wrote a little note The gifts will come to you So here’s a brand new Christmas How time so quickly passed A brand new year is looming near And the future’s coming fast Though there’s many miles between us The best things in life are free So, I’m sending my undying love Cos you mean the world to me Yes, even though you’re far away You’ll always find me true And so I have to say, on Christmas Day My spirit’s always there with you Now I’m looking out at snowfall And lots of memories I recall And as sleigh bells chime at Christmastime my thoughts are with you all
