Grocery Cameras (FM) | Rackvin
writer: Rackvin, Raven performer: Rackvin I walk through the store where the shadows play long, the air feels too still and the shelves hum a wrong. Every aisle bends open, every doorway invites, but a glass eye is waiting, it measures my strides. This world we walk in carries a hollow weight, the kind that once promised but now seals our fate. How dare we allow the unblinking to reign, we raised open ground where no chains held the grain. Now the razor that shaves a man’s quiet face sits locked in its prison, a quiet disgrace. Disgrace… this loss of our grace. We built up the land with calloused and true hands, a haven where footsteps could wander the sands. We spoke of the old ways the elders once knew, where a man’s given word was the lock that held true. There was a time, now veiled like a fading refrain, when civilized hearts moved without fear or stain. No need for the watchers to guard what was ours, just stories of honor passed under the stars. How dare we allow the unblinking to reign, we raised open ground where no chains held the grain. Now the razor that shaves a man’s quiet face sits locked in its prison, a quiet disgrace. Disgrace… this loss of our grace. So I walk through the store with my eyes on the past, carrying the memory that freedom can last. If we listen once more to the old quiet call, we’ll lift up the cages and open them all. Grocery cameras… may your light finally fall.
