The Blueprint of Zion

THE BLUEPRINT OF ZION Verse 1 Come gather close my little ones And listen while I tell A story older than the mountains A pattern known so well For Zion is not stone and timber Nor walls upon a hill Zion lives within a people Who learn the Peacemaker's will Chorus This is the Blueprint of Zion The ancient sacred way Learning how to love each other And hear what Heaven says This is the Blueprint of Zion The path our fathers knew A people walking with the Peacemaker In all they say and do Verse 2 Four great pillars hold the foundation Knowledge, Virtue standing strong Sacrifice and Consecration Guide the people all along The Medicine Wheel keeps turning East and South and West and North Every season brings its wisdom Every life brings something forth Chorus This is the Blueprint of Zion The ancient sacred way Learning how to love each other And hear what Heaven says This is the Blueprint of Zion The path our fathers knew A people walking with the Peacemaker In all they say and do Verse 3 The Mothers gather in their councils Seeking what the children need Not for power, wealth, or honor But for service and good deeds The Talking Feather passes softly Every voice is welcome there For wisdom grows when hearts are listening And each soul receives its share Verse 4 Nothing truly belongs unto us All creation is on loan Every gift and every blessing Is a stewardship alone When we share what Heaven gives us No poor remain among the land Consecration joins the people Heart to heart and hand in hand Bridge Listen closely for the Haymehnay The sacred whisper of the Light Guiding every humble seeker Through the darkness of the night Walk the Tuhhuhl Nuhmehn daily Let your inner eyes be clear For the Peacemaker still speaks softly To all who choose to hear Verse 5 Build a Refuge for the weary Keep the sacred fire bright Be the Remnant that remembers When the world forgets the Light Zion rises one soul at a time One family, one act of grace Until the Peacemaker returns again And finds a prepared place Final Chorus This is the Blueprint of Zion The ancient sacred way Learning how to love each other And hear what Heaven says This is the Blueprint of Zion The pattern still lives on A people walking with the Peacemaker Until the work is done
