[Verse 1] In the upper room Quiet on the floor You did not call armies You reached for the door You wrapped up a towel Poured water in a bowl Heaven on its knees now Serving dust and soul [Chorus] This is my King The One who kneels Crown laid down So my heart can heal Love that stoops To wash my shame away Shape my heart Jesus Teach me Your humble way [Verse 2] Hands that hold the cosmos Holding dirty feet Every hidden failure Met with gentle peace You could have spoken thunder You chose a whispered sign Greatness in the bending Glory redefined [Chorus] This is my King The One who kneels Crown laid down So my heart can heal Love that stoops To wash my shame away Shape my heart Jesus Teach me Your humble way [Bridge] Make me the one Who takes the lowest place (oh) Give me the towel More than the stage Break all my pride Till I can gladly say Love serves Love stays Love gives itself away [Chorus] You are my King The One who kneels Crown laid down So my heart can heal Love that stoops To wash my shame away Shape my heart Jesus I want Your humble way
