American Pie Girls Got Old

I was young when the "American Pie" movies came out. Some years later I am still young. 😉 ... but: American Pie girls got old! We were young, we were wild, we were living the dream, Flipping through the pages of a ‘90s scene. Jennifer, Alyson, Tara so bright, Now they check the mirror like “Is that right?” Back in the day, they were ruling the screen, Now they Google “Best anti-aging cream.” Time’s a thief, yeah, it’s kinda cruel, But hey, we’re all just playin’ the fool! American Pie girls got old, Just like the stories we once told. Time moves fast, like a runaway train, Now Stifler’s mom got back pain! American Pie girls got old, Just like the stories we once told. Time moves fast, like a runaway train, Now Stifler’s mom got back pain! Used to crush on them hard in a teenage daze, Now they talk about "self-care" and “better days.” We were rebels, we were loud, we were setting the tone, Now we stretch before we sit down at home. MTV’s dead, and the malls shut down, All our pop-punk heroes wear a suit downtown. Life's a joke, but the punchline’s clear, Every birthday, we lose one more beer! American Pie girls got old, Just like the stories we once told. Time moves fast, like a runaway train, Now Stifler’s mom got back pain! American Pie girls got old, Just like the stories we once told. Time moves fast, like a runaway train, Now Stifler’s mom got back pain! We all thought that youth would stay, Like a song on loop that won’t decay. But time just laughs and hits rewind, Now we’re all stuck in a dad-rock mind! So raise a glass for the good old days, Before our idols turned fifty shades of grey. The world moves on, yeah, that’s the game, But in our hearts, it’s still the same! American Pie girls got old, Just like the stories we once told. Time moves fast, like a runaway train, Now Stifler’s mom got back pain! American Pie girls got old, Just like the stories we once told. Time moves fast, like a runaway train, Now Stifler’s mom got back pain! American Pie girls got old! American Pie girls got old! American Pie girls got old! American Pie girls got old! ©️ STRANGEDT, MMXXV
