GRENDEL Bonus track - Creature Of The Night (Beowulf) - Alternate Version

[Verse 1] I've heard the tales of shattered doors Of warriors lost and kingdoms Scarred Of countless heroes bound for glory That found the challenge far too hard [Verse 2] The stories crossed the Northern sea On merchant sails and winter winds Of an empty hall and sleepless nights And a fight no man could win [Chorus] Creature of the night The fear you've sown will fade away Creature of the night Your twelve long years have had their day But every shadow meets the light And every hero needs to fight So I will be the one who ends This creature of the night [Verse 3] The symbol of eternal flame Besieged for twelve long years The time has come to make my name And chase away their fears [Verse 4] What use is strength if left to fade What use is courage never tried The fates have brought this task to me And I will not step aside [Chorus] Creature of the night The fear you've sown will fade away Creature of the night Your twelve long years have had their day But every shadow meets the light And every hero needs to fight So I will be the one who ends This creature of the night [Bridge] I've faced the storms beyond the sea I've tested strength against the tide The evil that has cursed this hall Has nowhere left to hide So let him hear my name across the waves Let him hear it in the rain Let him fear the name of Beowulf Let him know that name means pain [Chorus] Creature of the night The fear you've sown will fade away Creature of the night Your twelve long years have had their day But every shadow meets the light And every hero needs to fight So now I'll cross the sea to face This creature of the night Creature of the night Creature of the night [Chorus] Creature of the night The fear you've sown will fade away Creature of the night Your twelve long years have had their day But every shadow meets the light And every hero needs to fight So now I'll cross the sea to face This creature of the night Creature of the night Creature of the night
