This world we’re all sharing All living things No right to survival Because of power and greed And hunger and illness are killing the dreams Of the next generation The next kings and queens No thought of compassion No love and no trust Confused and currupted Had enough What’s wrong with this picture Just take a look Ignoring the problems Did you write the book Evading the issues The question is clear I keep shouting the answers Nobody hears The children are starving They need some relief The wars never ending Why can’t that be peace Polluting the water Killing the trees Nuclear testing Why don’t you all see It is our problem It belongs to us We created this world We made it corrupt No one points a finger No one places blame So no one does anything I feel ashamed Nothing up until now matters How can that be, can’t you see What the world has done to me It’s made me weak, made me sared Made me think noone cares About me and my life It’s not white or black or gray It’s not right, I just fight with myself Nothing seems wrong or ever is right Why the game or the test To much pain in the quest When you’re done nothings left And you tell me to stop Beating up on myself To do what I’m told To give up on whats left Of the life I am told On the life lose my soul That is nothing but me Inside all of my dreams The thoughts noone sees The best parts of me is in me Don’t go looking For things I can’t be Something else Can’t you talk to yourself Find your own soul Your own host Not go looking to change me Make me a ghost Someoneone I don’t know In this land of make believe the lost and forgotten kings and queens Have no kingdoms Have no dreams Confusion Reins society bleeds and what is to become of the next generation The princesses and princes of degeneration They need some guidance they need a foundation To build a new kingdom to save a great nation Built on morals and ethics honor and respect trust and compassion not fear and neglect And all of the subjects in this grandest of courts will learn to protect it if we teach them right first Do you read The thoughts that I write Can you see What is out of my sight Is there a world Beyond my reach A place for my mind A place for peace Is there a test A pass to get in Knowledge that only Comes from within The heart and the soul The spirit the mind is there an answer The key to mankind Or is this life One time around Defined by the years We are lost above ground
