Republic of U.S. (ReWub)
“REPUBLIC OF US” (Punch-cadence rap metal / glitch patriot anthem) [INTRO — old radio / warped vinyl / children saying pledge] > “I pledge allegiance… to the flag… of the United States of America…” [glitching static] > “And to the republic…” And— And— To— The rep— Rep— Rape— Republic— [HARD GLITCH STOP] > “…for which it stands.” --- [VERSE 1 — mean punch cadence / heavy guitars] Whatever happened to the land I love? Not this fake democrazy— I mean the REPUBLIC… of us. We comin’ up on two-fifty quick, problem is now— who steering this ship? We came in with values from tyranny ran, how in the HELL did we end up back so far from where we began? This isn’t anti-American hate— quite the opposite instead— WAKE. THE FUCK. UP. UNITED STATES. --- [PRE-CHORUS — rising melodic grit] We were born from rebellion, not royal bloodlines. Middle fingers to kings and controlled minds. No throne. No crown. No “kneel and obey.” Now corruption got lobbyists buying the day. --- [CHORUS — massive anthem hook] This is the Republic… OF US. Not the money, not the media, not the people above us. We the heartbeat. We the rust. We the blood in the dust. If America falls— then it falls through us. Red white blue— but the colors all bruised. Everybody screaming truth while they weaponize views. Still I love this land enough to tell the truth— WE GOTTA CHOOSE. --- [VERSE 2 — faster / sharper flow] We a country born with values and morals that changed, moved off from oligarchs, monarchs, old-world stages. Empires died just pretending to stand— we chose freedom, liberty, the right to begin. You may not know this— but this was born a Christian nation. Not overtly— but by the faith of our patrons. Men imperfect, still believing in right and wrong, trying to build a system where tyranny wouldn’t belong. Checks. Balances. Power restrained. Now the whole damn machine feel bought and chained. And here we are— back again. Somebody pulling strings and it needs to END. --- [BREAKDOWN — screamed / half-time] WHO OWNS THE FEAR? WHO PROFITS MOST? WHO KEEP THE PEOPLE DIVIDED AND DOSED? Left. Right. Blue. Red. Meanwhile the middle class barely ain’t dead. --- [FINAL CHORUS — bigger / gang vocals] This is the Republic… OF US. Not celebrities, parties, or corporate trust. We the people. We the fire. We the hope in the dust. And I still believe there’s a soul in us. Stars on the flag— but they dimmed from smoke. Truth get buried while the whole thing choke. Still I’d rather die tellin’ truth out loud than watch this country forget itself proud. --- [OUTRO — quiet / radio static] > “…one nation… under God…” [signal distortion] > “…indivisible…” [flatline]
