BLOOD OF THE BURIED CROWN Verse 1 I was born where the old kings sleep beneath the ground, Where the names they tried to silence still echo their sound. They buried every crown, tried to bury every name, But blood remembers blood, and fire remembers flame. I grew up with a story nobody dared to tell, A kingdom in my veins where the broken spirits dwell. They thought the dust would swallow everything we were, But the roots grew deeper underneath the earth. Verse 2 There were hands that tried to sever every branch from the tree, Tried to steal the history that was written into me. They changed the names and shadows, tried to cover every trace, But you can’t erase a bloodline by erasing someone’s face. I learned to read the silence, learned to listen underneath, Heard my ancestors whisper through the spaces in my sleep. And every time they pushed us down and thought we’d disappear, Something in my spirit said, “We’re still standing here.” Chorus I am the light, I am the flame, I carry the blood, I remember the name. You can bury the crown, but you can’t bury me, You can darken the road, but I’ll still make you see. Oh, I’ll lead you home, I’ll lead you through, I’ll hold your hand when the night comes through. Love is the key, love is the call— We rise together, or we rise for all. Verse 3 Sometimes I wonder, do they know that I can see? Do they know I recognize the shadows following me? Do they know I hear the whispers underneath the disguise? Do they know the truth can live behind a thousand lies? Maybe they believe the past is something they can own, Maybe they don’t understand I never walk alone. For every door they close, another one appears, And every wound they gave became the wisdom of my years. Verse 4 I don’t need to raise a weapon, I don’t need to curse a name, The brightest kind of power doesn’t have to look like pain. Let them chase the darkness, let them fight what they can’t see, I was never meant to become what tried to conquer me. I won’t let their bitterness become my destiny, I won’t trade my soul for what they tried to take from me. My victory is healing every heart they left behind, Turning generations of survival into light. Chorus I am the light, I am the flame, I carry the blood, I remember the name. You can bury the crown, but you can’t bury me, You can darken the road, but I’ll still make you see. Oh, I’ll lead you home, I’ll lead you through, I’ll hold your hand when the night comes through. Love is the key, love is the call— We rise together, or we rise for all. Verse 5 They told us pain was normal, told us silence made us strong, Taught us how to carry wounds but never where they belong. So I’ll teach them how to breathe when the memories arise, How to let the tears fall without being ashamed to cry. I’ll sit beside the broken, I won’t turn my face away, I’ll remind them that tomorrow doesn’t owe the past today. And if they can’t see the sunrise, I’ll become their morning star, I’ll hold their hand and tell them, “You are more than what you are.” Verse 6 I have walked through my own darkness, I’ve been swallowed by the night, I’ve questioned every heartbeat, I’ve forgotten my own light. But something kept on calling from a place I couldn’t name, A voice beneath the ashes whispering, “Remember who you came from.” So I gathered up my pieces, every fracture, every scar, And discovered broken mirrors still can show you who you are. Now I wear my imperfections like the jewels of my crown, Because the light shines brightest when you’ve walked the darkness down. Verse 7 I don’t claim to be a savior; I’m a hand reaching through, A voice saying, “Come with me, there’s still a road for you.” If my people have forgotten how beautiful they can be, I’ll sing until they remember, I’ll become the melody. We’ll unlearn every hatred that was handed down in fear, We’ll make a home from healing where the wounded can appear. And we’ll teach our children love before they learn to fight, So the future doesn’t inherit what destroyed us in the night. Verse 8 Maybe that’s the crown they never understood I wore, Not a crown made out of gold, but one that opens every door. The greatest of the light isn’t greater because they reign, They’re great because they turn another person’s grief to gain. If I shine, it’s not for me; it’s so somebody else can see, That the darkness isn’t destiny and pain is not eternity. So let my ancestors witness what their sacrifice became— A generation walking forward without surrendering their name. Verse 9 And if they come with shadows, I will answer them with dawn, If they bring another night, I’ll remind them light lives on. You can bury every kingdom, you can scatter every stone, But you cannot bury people who have finally found their home. I’ll walk beside my people till the fear releases tight, I’ll teach them how to heal, how to love, how to choose the light. And when the final curtain falls and all the fighting’s gone, We’ll know the crown was never gold— The cr
