Though they have no relatives to mourn them, someone still sweeps and tends to them in silence. These individuals once had names and stories, yet as time passes, they are gradually forgotten, leaving behind only a stone engraved with “Unknown.” A silent reminder: existence, too, can fade without a trace. Perhaps one day, even the graves of the well-remembered will share the same fate. That thought moved me to write this song—I hope you’ll find something in it to hold on to. On a side note, Eastern culture speaks of “reverence for the past and respect for the departed,” often expressed through rituals like ancestral rites. But I believe our ancestors’ blood already flows within us. True remembrance lies not in ceremony, but in the way we treat ourselves. To live kindly, to take care of ourselves, is the deepest form of respect—for life, and for the lineage we carry. (■麥客官 MicroGuan‧2025/6/13)
