V5

[Verse 1] The Lord said, “Abram, leave your land, Your father’s house, the place you stand. Go to the land that I will show, A promise waits where you will go.” [Pre-Chorus] I will make of you a mighty name, A nation blessed, with endless flame. I’ll bless those who bless your line, And curse the ones who curse what’s mine. [Chorus] Go from your country, from your kin, Walk by faith, the journey begins. Every step, I’ll be your guide, Through Canaan’s hills, by your side. [Verse 2] So Abram went, just seventy-five, With Sarai near, and hope alive. Lot came too, and all they owned, To Canaan’s fields, where God had shown. [Bridge] He built an altar by the oak, To the Lord, his praises spoke. Then journeyed on from hill to plain, Calling on the Lord’s great name. [Verse 3] But famine struck the promised land, To Egypt’s wealth he turned his hand. He said to Sarai, “Say you’re my kin, So Pharaoh’s eyes won’t draw me in.”* [Chorus 2] Fear and faith in the desert’s wind, Trusting God, though the path was thin. Even through lies and foreign halls, The Lord redeemed it all. [Verse 4] Pharaoh took her, gifts were given, But plagues arose by God’s own vision. The truth came out, and Pharaoh cried, “Take her, leave, and do not hide!” [Outro] So Abram left with all he gained, Through Egypt’s gates, his faith remained. The promise echoes, pure and true— “Through you, the world I’ll bless anew.”
